Crude Awakening
Action: Sat 16th Oct
The Crude Awakening is a huge huge mass action in London on Saturday 16th October. A wake-up call to the world that we need to reduce our dependence on oil right now. A thousand people are going to be there and we need YOU to be a part of history. More info's at http://www.crudeawakening.org.uk/.
The action's being supported by, amongst others, Space Hijackers, Climate Camp, Plane Stupid, Rising Tide, Liberate Tate, Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination, UK Tar Sands Network and Earth First.
Transport
We are arranging transport from Brighton up to London on the day for 6 pounds return per person. We are meeting at 8am (prompt) on the Saturday morning (the three blocs assemble in London at 10am). We will be returning in the evening. Please book your tickets asap (see contact details below).

Creation Weekend: Sat/Sun 9th/10th Oct
We have a creation/training/information weekend at Pop Up Studios in Lewes to prepare for the day. This will include banner/prop/costume making, direct action and legal training, and information about the action. It will run from 10am on Sat 9th all weekend through to Sun 10th. There will be a party on the Sat night. It should be lots of fun and anyone thinking of coming to the action is strongly encouraged to pop by at some point.

Crude Awakening. Bring ideas, energy and art materials you may need tho we
also have some… - A crafty and resourceful space to co-align, design, and rehearse the
activities and props that can be part of the “Body Bloc” and “Dirty Money
Bloc” for the Crude Awakening - Twilight game of Capture the flag through the cobbled terrain of Lewes. (But dependent on weather and numbers)
- Direct Action and Legal training on Sun afternoon.
- Twilight game of Capture the flag through the cobbled terrain of Lewes.
- Party on Saturday night.
