Mass Action -- practical information

High Noon, Low Tide, Carbon Down

Actions will be going on throughout the day and week, but large groups will be at the Power Station before 12:00 for the coordinated start of the power station occupation. This is also low tide, when the Great Rebel Raft Regatta will reach the power station. If you can't make it for the rest of the camp, you could arrive just for the day. But if you can, we recommend arriving a few days before, so that you can take part in the safety and skill training workshops throughout the camp.

If you can only get the weekend off, then we suggest arriving the night of Friday August 8th. There will be crash space for those without tents, so a warm sleeping bag will be enough. If you have to arrive on the day, you can get to Strood by train from London Victoria Station, or Charring Cross. There will be shuttle buses from Strood train station from 9 -10:30 am to take people near the power station. Or you could bring a bike to get there in case buses are being stopped. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances of getting to the power station by high noon.
