Food Hygiene Person

Knows their stuff about all this and communicates with neighbourhoods and checks in with them regularly.

Food Store Coordinator

Onsite there is a food store co-ordinator who keeps track of stock and arranges for re-ordering. They also advise neighbourhoods on prudent and economical stock use. There are also opportunities to get involved with making food orders.

MINIBUS DRIVERS

At the Camp we are planning to run a shuttle bus between the camp and Strood Train Station. We therefore need drivers in order to keep this running throughout the week. You can volunteer for as little or as much as you like, but it would be great if you can let us know you're available in advance. site[at]climatecamp.org.uk

At the event

Set-up is saturday 2nd of August. All manner of lift 'n' shift, hammerin' 'n' nailin',sign-painting, marquee-erecting, fence-building etc required. Check out website for the last-minute-revealed location, then show up at the Site Office, and make friends, make infrastructure, make the camp. In all cases, and loads more I haven't thought of, get in touch with site[at]climatecamp.org.uk

During the event

Neighbourhoods will hopefully provide a constantly renewed stream of people to learn about and maintain our lovely simple infrastructure. Read the recipe book by hovering over "home" on the www.atcoop.org.uk website. Site will probably not be checking e-mail during the event. Just show up.

After the Event

For drivers, strong people, people who don't mind a bit of muck-spreading and straw-raking, the careful dismantling of the event, otherwise known as "tat-down" will take an unpredictable chunk of time, beginning on the 11th of August.
Excessively tidy people are very welcome, especially after the 20th. Tat-down might be much faster, as the police might hassle us less than they have in the past. Book yourself to be told the tat-down phonenumber when that time comes, by e-mailing site[at]climatecamp.org.uk.

Wellbeing jobs

The Wellbeing working group is looking for volunteers to man the Wellbeing space throughout the camp; this space exists mostly to provide a calm and quiet space for campers to retreat to for whatever reason, and volunteers are needed to facilitate this. The Wellbeing space will also be providing herbal rescue remedies, opportunities for a confidential and non-judgemental chat, alternative therapy sessions, a quite cup of tea...
Basically, we're here to make sure that campers look after each other, especially in the aftermath of action days and other stresses. If you want to help this process, then please contact
activisttrauma[at]climatecamp.org.uk.
