Post-Climate Camp Gathering
27th to 28th September, Manchester
All Welcome!
Times:
Saturday 10:30 - 6pm (provisional)
Sunday 11:00 - 5pm
Agenda:
This is our chance to start deciding what the UK Camp forClimate Action movement is going to do next!
Money:
Vegan food for the weekend will cost £15. We will also ask for donations towards hiring the venue. Please email manchester@climatecamp.org.uk if you have any dietary requirements.
There will be a travel pool: we'll ask people who didn't have far to travel, or are feeling a bit flush, to put some money in the travel pool so people who travelled further can take some out.
How to get there:
The venue is Bridge-5 Mill, 22a Beswick Street, Manchester, M4 7HR. Map
If you are coming by foot from Picadilly Train Station, there is a great map here: http://www.merci.org.uk/visiting-b5m-footmap.php. It's a 10-15 minute walk.
There are directions for getting to Bridge-5 Mill by foot, bus or car here: http://www.merci.org.uk/visiting-b5m.php
Other practicalities:
Crash pad accommodation will be available on Friday and Saturday (bring a sleeping bag!) Please email manchester@climatecamp.org.uk in advance to say that you need accommodation, so we'll have an idea of numbers. If arriving on the Friday Night the accommodation will be at Marbella Café, Sunshine Studios, 52 Newton St. M1 1 ED - ask for the cafe which is upstairs. It may be possible to provide a bed if someone needs it, please get in touch if this is the case.
MERCI is wheelchair accessible.
Please send any questions or suggestions to manchester@climatecamp.org.uk.
(On the Friday night at MERCI many of the working groups are holding their debrief meetings -check with your working group to see if you are meeting and at what time. This is intended for Camp for Climate Action '08 working groups, but don't worry there will be a whole bunch of new working groups to get involved with soon!)
NEIGHBOURHOOD FEEDBACK
Just a quick note to say that all neighbourhoods are being asked for someone to feedback on the positives and negatives of the Camp for Climate Action 2008 at the National Gathering this weekend. The time for neighbourhood feedback will be on the Saturday Morning.
Please send any questions or suggestions to manchester@climatecamp.org.uk.
